Generally, Google releases a new Android update before the mid-year. But thanks to XDA Developers, they somehow managed to leak Google’s next big Android update. Yeah, whole data isn’t leaked but you’ll get an idea of what Google is working on for this year.
Android Q’s New System-Wide Dark Mode
The upcoming Android Q will be featuring a new system-wide dark mode. Some of you might be murmuring like, “That’s already been available in Android 9 Pie”. But wait-wait!! Yeah, sure dark mode is too available in Android Pie but it only changes the app launcher and notification bar.
But this time, Android Q will allow you to switch your whole phone to dark mode. This also includes settings and other apps. Chances are you may be able to change dark mode in some installed apps too.
Google’s New Step to Secure Privacy
The next thing Google is focusing on is user privacy. As you know last few Android updates have already encrypted privacy by adding “Permission Asking” feature. Now phone asks you to give permission to things like Camera, Microphone, etc.
Right now, Android Pie also allows you to easily toggle off or on for permissions. But now chances are that a new “Allow only while the app in use” feature which will only give all of these access to the app when it’s in use. This is going to be another great step by Google towards User Privacy.
Desktop-Mode in Construction
These were some highlighting leaks in XDA Developers report. But Google is also working on a new desktop mode just like you’ve seen in Samsung’s DeX. Also, you’ll be able to record screen by using an amazing built-in screen recording tool. It isn’t available they’re still working on it.
It all was according to XDA reports, officially Google may announce new updates by the Month of May. It is also not confirmed but you can expect because they announced Android Pie’s features in May 2018. And finally, they were released in August so we can expect that too.
